Delivery
Delivery is an option, subject to availability, and for an additional fee. Delivery fee will be calculated by delivery address mileage/drive time. After hours deliveries or delivery on a day that Marlie Bakes Cakes is closed, is an option, subject to availability.

Allergy Disclaimer
Please be advised that our products may contain or have come in contact with peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, soy, milk, eggs, wheat and/or gluten. While we may offer desserts that are flour-less or nut-free, our facility has no such designation.

Payments
All payments will be taken via invoice only (Credit card, Debit card, Apple Pay, After pay).

Refunds
All sales are final due to the nature of this product/service. Once final payments are received, no refunds will be provided. In the event there is an emergency and Marlie Bakes Cakes is not able to provide your order, you will receive a full refund.

Retainers:
Orders in excess of $400 or that are more than 60 days away can be split into two payments. Orders less than $400 will require full payment at the time of ordering. If you fail to pay the remaining payment by its due date, your order will be canceled and filled with another inquiry. All retainers are nonrefundable. Payment must be paid within 72 hours after receiving invoice.

Pick ups
It is required that you pick up your order at the set pickup time that is on your invoice. You cannot pickup earlier than your set time unless we notify you that your order is done early and a new time is agreed upon.

When you arrive for pickup please call/message the phone number on your invoice and state that you have arrived for pickup, your car color & model/make, as well as your First & Last name. Directions can be found on your invoice. If you need any further support with directions, please call the number on your invoice.

There is a $20 late fee if you arrive past the 30 minute grace period you are given after your set pickup time. The late fee will be sent via invoice to your email only.

Cake Elements
All tall cakes, and tiered cakes will have plastic/wooden cake dowels inside the cake to support the height, structure and weight of the cake - the dowels are not edible.

Orders that include fresh florals should be refrigerated until they need to be displayed to keep your flowers as fresh as possible. Card stock toppers are decorative items and are not to be consumed (inedible). Gold/Silver leaf and finishing glitters/sprays are all edible and considered food grade / nontoxic.

Marlie Bakes Cakes is not responsible for allergic reactions or medical conditions resulting from inedible decor pieces. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to advise their recipient that certain decor pieces are inedible.

Marlie Bakes Cakes is not responsible for any damages incurred to the product once it has been delivered or picked up by the client.  

Please remember that when submitting an order form it does not secure your order. You order is secured once you have received your invoice and your payment has been received (initial payment in the case of multiple payments). 

If your order can be fulfilled on the desired day, an email will be sent with an invoice to be paid. All invoices will be sent to the email provided by customer.

Custom Designs

Inspiration photos will not be replicated. Their purpose is to serve as an inspiration for a particular color, vibe, décor, technique, style, etc. We will use these photos as inspiration to create a unique and custom design for your event. It’s important that you are as specific as possible in your order details, describing exactly what styles and colors you prefer (down to the color shade).

Freestyle Cakes

This is an option for clients who don’t have particular ideas when it comes to the cake design. If a freestyle cake is chosen, the client will provide the color scheme, theme & cake flavors. Marlie Bakes Cakes will have 100% creative control of the final look and décor.

Consultations

Complimentary consultations are 15 minutes in length, and are available for all custom orders, with the exception of wedding cakes. During your consultation we will go over the color scheme, vision of your cake design, any inspiration photos, pinterest boards, flavors, cake tasting, pricing, toppers, floral, venue, additional dessert options number of guest, contracts, due date/time and delivery/set up! 

If you would like more than 15 minutes for your consultation, please book a 30 minute cake consultation, which has a fee of $20.

Thirty minute cake consultations (including Wedding cake consultation fees) are non-refundable and do not go toward your purchase should you decide to purchase a cake from Marlie Bakes Cakes.

Privacy

Any information collected during a Transaction, Email Sign Up, or Placing an order form will never be shared nor sold to any third party ever. Any pictures provided to Marlie Bakes Cakes can be used for promotional or commercial purposes without notice to said individual and without payment.
